Hi! My name is Carmen Jones and I am a special education teacher here at Falling Branch. I committed to graduate from Salem High School in 1997. Following this I attended the University of Virginia’s College at Wise where I graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Elementary Education. Next, I attended Mary Baldwin College where I graduated in 2003 with a Master of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in Elementary Education. I taught for 5 years at the 6th grade level. During this time I developed a love for working with all children and decided to further my education once again. This time I enrolled in an online degree program with the University of Phoenix where I graduated in 2012 with a Master of Arts in Education in Special Education. I was fortunate to be able to begin my career as a special education teacher while I was working on my Master’s degree. I come to Falling Branch with 4 years of experience as a general education teacher and 5 years as a special education teacher.

I live in Roanoke with my husband and two beautiful daughters. I love spending time together with my family. We enjoy going on walks, swimming, riding bikes, watching movies, and reading.
