I
committed to graduate back in 1986 from Tazewell High School, the "Home
of the Bulldogs". At THS, there were a lot of great teachers that
helped prepare me for what was ahead .... college. While at Tazewell
High, I was a Lady Bulldog basketball player and a member of the THS
choir, known as the"Green T's".
After high school graduation, I
was accepted to attend Virginia Tech and committed to graduate just as
my husband, Mike; sister, Anne Hart; grandfather and great uncle did
before me. Just this past May, my daughter, Charlotte graduated and now
is a Hokie alum, too! I received my B.A. degree in Liberal Arts and
Sciences, but there was another calling... an interest to become a
teacher.
I decided to attend another local university, Radford
University, to obtain my teaching degree. I committed myself to
graduate with a second B.A degree, Interdisciplinary Studies (K-5).
Currently,
I teach second grade and have enjoyed teaching at Falling Branch for
thirteen years. I live in Christiansburg with my husband, daughter,
son, Alexander; my dog, Wrigley; and my two cats, Ziggy and Bella.
