Mrs. Robin Grove
2022-2023 is my third year teaching first grade at FBES. I committed to getting my master’s degree in Elementary Education. Before I obtained my master’s degree, I first committed to graduate from Patrick Henry High School (Roanoke, VA) and received my high school diploma. Go, Patriots! I then committed to graduate from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I committed to graduate from Hollins University with a Master’s degree in Elementary Education PreK-6. I am excited to say that I was also an honor student and inducted into the Kappa Delta Pi, an International Honor Society for Education, and a charter member at Hollins University.
I played flute and piccolo in the Marching Virginians. Let’s go, HOKIES! The Marching Virginians band field is where I met my husband, Brian. He played the tuba. We live in Christiansburg with our son and three indoor cats (Fluffy, Midnight, and Prince). All of our cats are full of spunk and love their treats. While I did not attend the University of Alabama, that is my FAVORITE college football team! Roll Tide!
I worked as a special education paraprofessional and was also the CHS drama director for a couple of years. My son graduated from CHS, and we love to cheer on the Blue Demons! My son committed to graduate from West Virginia Tech, Beckley, WV and earned an engineering degree. He swam all his life, so our family is involved with H2Okie Aquatics and USA Swimming. In the summer, I manage an outdoor pool! In my spare time during the year, I teach all ages to swim and love the water!
