Students at FBE receive music instruction two times a week for 30 minutes. Following the National Standards of music education, students sing, perform, improvise, compose, move to, and listen to music. Students perform on a variety of instruments, including xylophones, drums, and unpitched percussion, and ukuleles and recorders in the upper grades. Our curriculum follows the ideologies of Orff and Kodaly among others, and includes music from many world cultures.
